Experience wonderfully cultural evenings in Vienna. The ORF sponsor the Long Night of Museums on October 2nd 2010 – opening Vienna’s museums from 6pm until 1am. These wonderful exhibitions and special events take place in museums all over Austria at the same time and on the same night.
With just one ticket you have access to all participating locations and special events. An astounding 650 institutions in Austria took part in this special cultural event last year. Record numbers of visitors, 443,000 in fact, visited in 2009.
Long Night of Museums: Programme
The aim of the exhibitions in Vienna is to interest visitors in the cultural programme available in Austrian museums. Creative special programmes and events include readings, artist talks, discussion groups, music, special culinary offers, magic shows, dance and special guided tours of collections.

The participating museums offer varied and high quality programmes during the exhibitions in Vienna. All museums located in the 1st Viennese District can be reached via shuttle bus.
Tickets for the Long Night of Museums in Vienna
Your event ticket is valid from 6pm until 1am for entrance to all participating locations as well as your bus ticket for the shuttle buses. Ticket sales begin at all participating museums 4 weeks prior to the ORF Long Night of Museums. For children up to 12 years old admission is free.
