Accessibility Statement

We strive to make our website accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on Barrier-Free Access to Websites and Mobile Applications of the Federal Government (Web Accessibility Act – WZG) BGBl. I. No. 59/2019 as amended.
This accessibility statement applies to www.schick-hotels.at.

Status of Compliance with Requirements

This website is compliant with conformance level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1" and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) according to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Non-Accessible Content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a. Non-compliance with accessibility provisions

Some graphic elements such as preview images currently do not contain alternative texts for technical reasons. This may lead to limitations when using screen readers. We are working to gradually eliminate these barriers.

b. Disproportionate burden

Videos hosted and published on the YouTube video platform. It is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions for some of these videos. Therefore, WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (Audio Description Prerecorded) is not met.
Some content embedded on our website, such as widgets or iFrames from third-party providers, lies technically outside our direct sphere of influence. Therefore, it may occur that these integrated components do not fully meet all accessibility requirements. In particular, content from these third-party providers may not be operable via keyboard or may not provide sufficient alternative texts. This may result in individual success criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) not being met.

We believe that complete accessible design of this third-party content would currently constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of accessibility regulations.

c. The content does not fall within the scope of applicable legislation

Predominantly older PDF documents and Office documents are not accessible. For example, PDF documents are not tagged, so they cannot be adequately captured and used by screen reader users. Therefore, WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value) is not met.
